Books are truly treasures every one should look for. Good books are the lighthouses that enlighten our families, school and society. They soothe the spirit, educate the heart, improve characters, explore unknown lands, and lead us to wisdom piety and delight. At Vallerian Primary School, reading as a skill is given a lot of attention. Learners at all class levels are taught the basic reading skills which they must exhibit during the reading sessions. The school organizes reading competitions at least twice every year in a quest to track the fluency and gauge the reading habits of the students. The school has two magnificent libraries one for the infants and one for the upper school. These are run by Competent and well trained full time librarians with a qualified teacher heading the library department.
School Sick Bay
Children who are unwell at school or suffer minor injuries are treated by a qualified full-time nurse in the school Sick Bay. The sickbay is fully stocked with the necessary drugs and first aid equipment to ensure that all emergencies are dealt with in the best possible way at the school. Parents are informed of any serious injury and are contacted if a doctor or hospital visit is advised. It is imperative that the school has up to-date emergency contact details for all children on file. We also ask that children who are unwell are not sent to school as they are unable to learn and may pass infection to other children and staff members

And the school serves them a healthy meal of porridge. The children are encouraged to snack on fresh fruit or vegetables if they are to carry their own snacks. We actively discourage sweets and chocolate as part of our responsibility to fitter, healthier children. LUNCH The school serves a lunch meal of posho and beans, a diet rich in Proteins and carbohydrates. However students are allowed to pack their own lunch if they can but the school advises that the food is packed properly so the student doesn't consume spoiled food.
