COVOID envisages a Uganda where there is universal promotion and observance of rights of children. Mission: COVOID exists to work towards “Strengthening the capacity of communities to provide for the rights of children.

Solidarity with the poor excluded and marginalized people: Our actions will be in favour of the interests and options of the poor, excluded and the marginalized in line with participatory methodologies being employed.
Our Target Groups:
Children facing abuse and exploitation in various forms i.e. sexual, emotional, physical harm like hard punishments and those exposed to acts of gender based violence in homes, hard labour, school drop outs and all children in and out of school.
Orphans and Vulnerable Children especially those orphaned as a result of HIV/AIDS epidemic, those orphaned by other circumstances. Most lack necessities such as food, housing, and clothing and lack of support for accessing health and education. The most vulnerable children are those living with HIV/AIDS, working as child labourers and child headed households.
Marginalised women especially People living with HIV/AIDS most especially women, orphans and vulnerable children who suffer discrimination, poverty, exclusion and limited access to anti-retroviral treatment and the fishing community.
Most at risk populations. Commercial sex is a major phenomenon on most fish landing sites in Bushenyi District – Katunguru Sub County in particular resulting in a high prevalence of HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases.
