Nakasongola Ecosystem Restoration
Climate change is a reality in Uganda, exhibiting severe prolonged drought especially in Nakasongola District. Some of the drivers of this phenomenon include massive deforestation of existing indigenous tree species for fuelwood energy. The tree species mostly sought after include Terminalia gleucescens, Combretum molle, Combretum collinum, Albizia corriaria, Acacia species including the threatened Acacia senegal.
